It seems the Highway Department guys are in a "Party Battle" - the battle started when the Party Bosses tried to remove a new Superintendent who agreed to help out after the untimely passing of the past Superintendent. R.I.P.

Anyway it appears the Friends and family group who controls that Department don't want "New People" looking over their shoulders ! Their so used to having a "Free Hand" when it comes to work hours and use of tax funded hours - they didnt like the idea of having to play by the book for a change.

They abused the past Highway Boss so much - he actually passed away while driving a snow ploy. Its said he was so worried the work wouldn't get done - he tried to do it himself.

Now we all know - especially in small Towns and Villages - Family and Friends - usually also those of the same "Party" tend to get hired for tax funded jobs. This tends to create a problem when it comes to discipline and work ethics.

Many believe its time to have everyone pull their weight when on tax funded time.

Its also been said - the "Friends and Family Group" is trying to show the Village Supervisor that "they" control the jobs - not him or through open hiring as he wants to insure.

Well I guess it will be up to just a hand full of voters in Pavilion because the usual election turn out is so low - the Friends and Family Group believe they can out vote tax paying residents.

The temporary Superintendent is in favor or accountable service - he has already presented doable plans to improve services and to encourage energy savings by using solar energy.

So for now - its up to the primary vote of the local Party Members - will they choose another "Friends and Family Member" or vote to run a candidate who has proven skills -

Taxes never decrease - isn't it time we stop choosing candidates because they are well known at local pubs ?
