I used to try to keep up with all the new breweries, but can't do it anymore. Too many.

Not sure where to dop this. It is a win, and Genessee Brewery is both a mass producer, as well as a microbrewer. Cream Ale is rated #32 beer in the world by Men's Journal.

Here's the whole list. Some pretty good beers.

I miss being able to find Railroad Street IPA at Buffalo-area Wegmans stores. That's my favorite Rochester-made beer, to date. Actually, Mortalis makes my favorite stuff, if we're counting Avon

That's a good beer. I'm not sure if they still brew it. I like IPA's, but not to fruity. My go to beer is Southern Tier IPA.

Wow did Genesee change the formulation of Cream Ale? It’s been eons (70’s maybe?) since I had any, and there were lots of distasteful (pun intended) jokes about it. Oddly the jokes and folklore seemed to enhance its popularity at least among the locals. I may have to try one again when I’m back to see if was bad as I remember or if my tastes have changed and I now like it.

Southern Tier IPA was the first craft beer I really became a fan of...it was all Molson and Labatt's before that, hah

This is huge. Constellation Brands Modelo just dethroned Budweiser as the top selling beer in America. Constellation is also currently building out their new corporate headquarters in downtown Rochester. Rochester has as ascended to a national leader for beer and will have 2 massive beer companies within a few miles of each other in downtown Rochester with Constellation Brands and Genesee Brewing
