According to the D&C, temperatures are supposed to remain in the 60s all week. So get out, shed those winter coats, and enjoy the weather! And keep your fingers crossed that it stays this nice (as we all know, there's still the potential for snow).
Winter around here is kind of like childbirth. Once spring comes, you forget all about the pain until next time. The change of seasons make you appreciate your favorite seasons even more.
Spring has sprung. This winter seemed much shorter than the ones I remember from being a kid. There were no 3 foot snow drifts in March, no snow in October or November or April.
To people reading this board contemplating moving here, the "D & C" is our local newspaper, not a gynecological procedure. That threw me as a newcomer. I opted for the other paper called "The Times Union" as a result. Sadly, that afternoon paper became obsolete a few years later.

Does anyone remember John Hambleton? He was the weatherman on ch 10 for years...There was a "terrible" snow storm supposedly headed our way...He got so excited, he kept telling people."get out.. get out now.. get out now while you still can"... I was wondering where should I go? and why?
I don't know where you are in Upstate NY Trudy...but it is definitely 60 degrees and sunny here in Rochester right now...supposed to be 64 tomorrow and Wednesday too.
