I live on the West side of Monroe County, but the eastern side had a storm in 2017 indeed. Was there a tornado in Eastern Monroe County during that 2017 storm? I don't remember there being one.

I don't remember a tornado during the 2017 storm since I'm on the East side. Very sad to hear lots of damage on the west side. hopefully no storm will happen on the south side of Monroe County in 2021!

I also can't find any evidence of one happening last week in Parma. Yes that sports dome was destroyed, but that pales in comparison to near 100 mph winds and $110 million in damages from 2017. It also wasn't just an east side storm, this story mentions an 81 mph gust at the airport and I have a buddy who measured near 90 at his house on the west side.

2017 was the worst I can recall. Worse than April 2011, February 1997, or Labor Day 1998. During the '98 severe weather outbreak, Syracuse and areas around there like Baldwinsville, Camillus, and Van Buren had several tornadoes including one that hit the New York State Fair in the middle of the night.

I often forget that there is a south side of Monroe County because you gotta go on the other side of the Thruway to get to those areas like Honeoye Falls.

I never said there was one "in Parma" I said Western Monroe County! Parma is in Western Monroe county but i did not say Parma. I'm in Greece so it could've been Greece. All I know is a neighbor told me there was a tornado and a sports area was ripped off the ground.

Monroe County north to south covers a vast expanse. The northernmost point near Troutburg and Devil's Nose in Hamlin is equal latitude with Burlington, Ontario and Minetto, New York just south of Oswego. The southernmost point of the county near Rush, Mumford, and Honeoye Falls is equal latitude with the south suburbs of Buffalo and the southernmost point of Onondaga County near Tully to give everyone a Syracuse perspective.
