Lilacs at Highland Park (drive, worth, visit to)

I believe they should still be in bloom. But even so if you've never been to Highland Park before it's still worth going to. While known for its lilacs the park also has hundreds if not thousands of varieties of other plants and trees. It's an amazing park

I don't know if anyone remembers this, but Martha Stewart was a speaker at an event here in the spring of 2007. Not surprisingly, she stopped to look at the lilacs, and chose some beautiful varieties, which she had driven to her residence.

Here's a segment of her show at the time in which she talks about her trip, and you can see the varieties she added to her collection. MS has always been fond of lilacs.
