Not really. Under the rules of La Cosa Nostra, women cannot be “made members” of the mafia. There have been a handful of female associates that have participated in the rackets, but none would have ever been allowed to gain any real power. That’s not to say it has never happened. In Italy there have been mob bosses that ruled over Camorra clans. That is a different type of organization than the mafia that operates in America though. Sicilians are less open minded, to say the least.
In Rochester the only other female mob associate besides Georgia Durante that I’m familiar with is Betti Frassetto. She was the wife of Frank Frassetto (B-Team bomb maker) and actually got indicted along with the rest of the B-Team. She was found guilty of obstructing justice by covering for her husband during a police investigation into his explosives.
