I think the issue in regards to the cops is the pepper spraying while handcuffed. This is what I've seen even from people that work or have worked in law enforcement.

The real issue predates that. In every single situation, the victim did something to attract the attention of the police, or for someone else to call the police. If anyone wasn't doing anything wrong, or troubling. the police would not have even be involved.

Sure, but the police also are professionals that are trained and should act accordingly. No one is perfect and that has to be considered. However, just like we may look at what caused them to come in the first place, they still have to respond properly. So, it goes both ways.

Bingo!!!
It would be like me complaining about the LEOs always giving me "the eye", when I'm out on the road. I've been driving "muscle cars" since I was a teen-ager......

Of course the police are trained professionals, but I think it is unreasonable to expect 100% perfection. We certainly don't expect that from our other professionals, such as doctors, who have plenty of time to prepare, climate controlled conditions, perfect lighting, multiple assistants and yet 3.6 million people die globally from or within weeks of an operation.
