STOW, Mass., Oct. 28 (UPI) -- An embarrassed Massachusetts couple said they had to call 911 for help when they became lost in an apple orchard.

Mark and Marcia Rosenthal said they were picking apples at the Honey Pot Orchard in Stow and began to realize they were lost as darkness fell on the area, WHDH-TV, Boston, reported Thursday.

Now, see, if they had just had GPS on their phone, they could have walked out and no one would have been the wiser...

The absolute inability of people to always know where they are and what direction they are facing/heading always boggles my mind. My kids always say - "Mom doesn't get lost, she has adventures!" - because I always know which direction I am going, as well as want to go, and I find all sorts of kewl surprises along the way.

Can't say a word, got lost once on a beach, same thing happened to us, only we had no shoes on, and only bikinis. Got dark, we could not find the exit. So much for watching the sunset on the ocean. We called the cops, who picked us up. The only time my Mom and I rode in a police car. No shoes, no clothes, just bikinis, and cell phone. Thank God no one called CNN!!!
