The SE Texas drought of 2011 seems to have created conditions that support the widespread germination of huisache in areas that have not historically supported this terrible plant.
I'm responsible for killing young huisache plants off of a 300 acre property in SE Texas. I've been speaking with the TP&W area biologist, a botanist affiliated with the Big Thicket National Preserve but I'm curious to hear what the internet knows.
