gdude, I'm just a 20 year old guy with the urge to travel America. Some call me nuts others call me brave. I just think I'm getting an experience of a lifetime. I had no friends nor family there. Just an urge to see the beloved Appalachians.

Campergirl, It is the firetower at Bays Mountain. About an hour hike from the parking lot. Admission is $3.00 per car.

Josh,

You are not crazy! Most people would kill to be able to do what you are doing. I bet you have seen some amazing things and have some amazing stories to tell.

By the way, you are definitely gifted with a camera. Those pictures are breathtaking.!

Thanks, Seahawksweetie. I wish that my family understood why I'm traveling so much while I'm young. I hate to say it but many of my family members/friends seem narrow minded when it comes to me traveling. They ask me things like why would you want to travel to Tennessee etc. It drives me up the wall. I truly do appreciate your positive attitude. If only we had more people like yourself.

Here is some more pictures from my trip.

Wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing. Keep on traveling. When you get older (old?) you get tied down with responsibilities or just less pep and less eager to take risks. IMHO

Awesome photos everyone! Here is a webcam snapshot from my house in Boones Mill, VA:

This has been a very nice Autumn on our farm! Beautiful foliage, slow to reach its peak, with good rain and long sunny breaks with comfortable temperatures. The mountain is called Cahas Mountain, which is around 3,600' and we're situated at about 1,300'.
