UC Berkeley is known for type. But I feel that this has permeated many Unis.
I went to PSU, and there are plenty of these liberal thinking type. Its in the middle of rural PA yet felt like a lot of the faculty came from suburbia raised with a silver spoon, never had to work with hands, spent most of their time with head in books. But I guess that makes sense for this generation of faculty. Most likely did come from suburbia.
