Hello everyone,

I am looking to take a basic CPR/First Aid class. I live in the Roseville area, and am seeing some courses for $65. I am able to pay it, but just wanted to see first...does anyone know of anything cheaper that might be worth checking out? I can drive to Sacramento or anywhere in the area. Thanks!

Have you checked with the fire department?

I just recieved it when I took all my lifeguard certification tests. Red Cross though. That is your best bet. I volunteered to help teach civilian cpr for them, it just takes a quick afternoon for that basic type. Right under your post there are things for online ones. Don't believe them. you need both the written and physical tests and it expires annually.

I got my certifications with The Red Cross. The courses were fairly priced and the instruction was excellent.

Make sure you do your CPR certification class in person. A lot of companies won't accept a cheap certification you acquired online. I teach CPR Classes in Tampa 3 times a week, and I've had people who attended my class that tried to initially do an online class. Make sure your class is done through The American Safety and Health Institute, The American Heart Association, or the Red Cross. The first place to start is to ask your employer what they accept. No matter how costly the class is, or how cheap, you are doing your self no good if your employer rejects it.
