I've been searching here and other places for information on a possible relocation to Freeport Manor (west of the Executive Airport). Schools are not important at this point in time.

I know the area has had its ups and downs but it seems like it's starting to get better. I checked a few different crime mappers and there hasn't been a lot reported in recent months.

I see 5 registered sex offenders, which doesn't concern me as much, but might affect selling the home if I decide to do so in the future.

I'd love to gain insight from anyone more familiar with the area. Obviously I'm going to lock my doors and stay alert, but if this is one of those places where you don't leave your home at night I'll look elsewhere. I've driven by the streets at night and it seemed pretty quiet, but driving through and living there are two different things!

Thanks in advance!

Freeport Manor is interesting. In less than 1/2 mile you have both South Land Park and Greenhaven (both low crime and desirable). Even closer are the Park Village homes. All are considered very nice. Freeport Manor is a pocket of lower end homes. They are smaller and most are priced $75,000-$90,000.

In my opinion, if this is your price range, Freeport Manor is a good choice.
