Both are mediocre. In so-so areas.

Similar to the other two.

If you are looking in that area for that level of apartments then check out Laguna Park. A Little better. IMO

Any reason you are trying so hard to steer away from my original recommendation of the Pavillions?

Laguna Park Apartments Stockton, CA

Another suggestion is looking for condos for rent. Quite a few available in fairly nice areas.

I liked the Pavilions but they are at 100% occupancy now. Must be a nice place.

I live in Marina Village West, and I think it's the best bet in Stockton. We've been here a year. The Lincoln Park West area of Stockton is the best place to live in Stockton IMHO.

Things I like about Marina Village West:
* Super-safe, I've never had trouble and often leave my apt. unlocked...
* Quiet
* Grocery stores, 24 hour Fitness, Fritz Grupe Park, Marina, March Lane/Brookside nearby
* Three nice pools, one with a Jacuzzi
* Three lighted tennis courts that are almost never in use
* Great running routes in this area
* Good stable neighborhood and cool people around
* Lots of beautiful trees in the area
* Garlic Brothers restaurant within walking distance, live music on Thursdays!

We looked at the Pavilions, and they're nice, but it's in a newly developed area that has no sense of neighborhood or history.

Prior to coming to Stockton, I read all of the horror stories about the city. Ignore all of that. If you pick a good neighborhood, it's a fine place to live with lots of nice people to meet.
