Taco Bell is coming to Lake Washington/Southport intersection, next to Lowe's. To some, it's no big deal, but for those that live out here, it beats driving to the Ikea area for some fast food selection. And this whole time I thought the Southport area banned fast food. It's a start for bigger and better things to come, like sit down eateries!!!!!

Pretty sad when fast food is celebrated.

Several fast food chains have been in the area and left. Chipotle, Pizza Hut Express, and another one which I can't recall the name. There is a Panda Chinese restaurant there which has been there for several years.

I don't know why you drive all the way to Ikea. You pass by a Taco Bell, several McDonalds, Togos, Carl's Jr, Hefty Burger and several other places long before you reach Ikea.

That's what I was thinking. First time I've ever heard anyone complain about West Sac's lack of fast food options.

it's more like Southport/Bridgeway lack of fast food, not the entire west sac area.

fast food isn't the greatest thing on earth, but it's fast food that people take for granted. i'm sure every viewer or poster on this thread has had a late night craving for fast food.

fast food is the American way. yea so is obesity, but hey it's all about self control. there was a lady on the news who is training for a marathon with a McDonald's diet. what do you say to that? she is far from obese and is in better shape than 75% of America.

taco bell isn't my daily restaurant, but good enough for a late night craving and gas...dutch oven baby!!

I can't say I get cravings for fast food at night. Not enough that I would go out of my way. I just recently moved and am now within walking distance of all that junk around Ikea. I walk over to McDonalds once in a while because I like their coffee and they have cheap sundaes. In-and-Out is open late. Sometimes I walk over there late. But if those places weren't there I don't think I would miss them.
