Both Land Park and South Land Park are lovely neighborhoods of Sacramento. Yet they are close to other areas where crime is a problem. How safe is LP and SLP? Is there a problem with crime coming in from outside? Where are the safest places to live in these neighborhoods?

Property crime can be an issue from time to time (Burglaries, car thefts, car break ins). Violent crime, not really. For sac, it is safe. Southland park is okay, but the further north you go in the land park hood, the nicer it gets.

Thanks, NCD. Is it safe after dark as well? I mean, can a young lady walk alone a few blocks to a neighbors house without worrying?

I'd say so. Lots of pedestrians out and about in Land Park after dark.
