Does anybody remember the quirky restaurant that was next to the Peppermill where all of the wait staff wore costumes?

No but I do miss the Peppermill with the sunken fire on water cocktail lounge and the the cocktail waitresses in these long polyester dresses that showed all of the skin. There was also shag carpeting all over the place, it had this great 70's vibe. An older sister of one of my friends worked there as a waitress and he was was really embarrassed that she worked there. So naturally we were always trying to go there.

Wasn’t it Black Angus that the waitress wore long polyester dresses?

That place was SO much fun. It was Bobby McGee's.

I know the Peppermill had a fire on water fireside lounge and the waitresses wore the long polyester dresses.

That reality still exists, in a place called Columbia SC. Its like Sacramento going back 30-40 years.

Its going to be the place hipsters will be coming to in droves once more people are leaving western states. I also see it getting an NBA team as the city gets bigger and newer and they'll lose each year like the Kings do, but they gotta have that Sacramento fan base to do it. I don't know if that will happen. Its just my late night imagination running wild but yes, a place does still exist that is like the old Sacramento. Its in the deep south. And people sometimes still refer to Sac-town as a cow town. I couldn't imagine how it was then.
