If you want diversity move to North Highlands or South Sacramento.

Seriously, what is with the posts about wanting to live in predominantly white areas, but wanting diversity at that same time?

What they mean is they want rich people - like themeselves - living there that are from a different ethnic group. They're really talking about wanting diversity as part of their economic class.

I don't think people in Auburn or Rocklin are rich, generally speaking. But it is still segregation if they want to live with rich people of any ethnic background. But, if that is what they are looking for I suggest Folsom.

I think for some who post they want to move into a neighborhood with good schools, low crime and tidy streets (its not always true but many such neighborhoods are predominately white) yet they don't want race to be an issue if they are in the minority (and it shouldn't be). Wouldn't stress about it though.

In California it's unlikely that any desirable neighborhoods would present a problem since people either don't care as long as one values what makes the neighborhood desirable in the first place or, if they are indeed racist, the actions aren't over the top headline grabbing events (it may be a "stare" or "hushed converstation" but that's pretty much it). I think people around here might be singled out by some for "extra attention" by the vehicle they drive or how they dress (yes it's superficial but it is what it is).

Rocklin doesn't strike me as a bastion of wealth but like neighboring Roseville there are some wealthy people and those who pretend to be. However we are not talking wealthy as in Belvedere Island or Hillsborough CA or Holmby Hills for goodness sakes.
