Might be looking to hire a contractor 6-8 months from now. Was wondering if any of you guys and gals out there dealt with a good contractor in the Sacramento, CA area?

Will be tearing down a few interior walls, tear down stairs going to 2nd floor and make it a smaller footprint (just too big at the moment, eating up too much space on the 1st floor), might also extend exterior walls 5 ft more and rework the roof to fit the exterior extension.

So if you worked with a contractor and are happy with their work, let me know.....but I keep asking myself with homes soo cheap, is it just easier to just sell and upgrade?

He's done extensive work at my friend's house, and minor work at my house. He's very reasonable, very responsible & a perfectionist. Perfect combo IMO.

They have done a ton of work on my house from bathroom and kitchen remodel to landscaping my whole front yard. They are very afforable, fast and did a great job.

Good luck

Absolutely cheaper to buy existing, but it sounds like you already live in the home, so you certainly don't want to incur moving costs/realtor/broker fees etc...plus the hassle, right?
