Stay away from South Sacramento - it's where the gangs and ghetto is

Stay away from North Highlands, South Natomas, Del Paso Heights, Rio Linda, the old parts of Rancho Cordova and to me, Rosemont.

I get tired of hearing stay away from South Sacramento...good grief

It also has one of the safest neighborhoods, South Land Park, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Sac. Great people, friendly neighbors, well kept homes

and the Greenhaven/Pocket area, million $ homes along the river, good schools, nice people, safe area

be more specific with throwing out the South Sac comment, thanks.

I do NOT consider South Land Park as part of Soth Sacramento - to me the closer you are to Florin Road the closer you are to South Sac.

South Land park is GORGEOUS with good schools! Even Curtis Park is cleaning up

Stay away from Fruitridge Road that's about were it starts to go bad.

Greenhaven and Pocket area are nice "middle of the road" areas - but are JUST to the side of South Sac and too close for comfort to me.

Ah, I'm not trying to be a pain in the ass Citygirl, but south land park should clue you in that it's in south Sac. My real estate agent provided a grid of the city for me before I moved here and I'm looking at it geographically, not based on where I think areas are. My Mom has lived in Greenhaven for 25 years (hardly in what you would call a ghetto by the way) and as far as I know it's always been in south Sacramento unless some massive earth shift has occurred since I've been away. With all due respect however, you're entitled to categorize Sac as you wish and your perspective is appreciated.

I like to know what streets are ok and where it isn't. I am scared of getting in the middle of gang warfare, even in roseville, can that happen? The place I found is the Venu at Galleria at 301 gibson ave 95678..I found a townhome for 1800 that can fit me, husband, child and my mother into, is this place ok???

Default You're fine

No need to worry about this address. Of course, I don't know if you will like this particular apt complex (management, neighbors, etc), but it is perfectly safe and 1800.00 a month sounds rather upscale, even for Roseville.
