"Golden 1 doesn't need to advertise..." Then why have they been running very high end state wide Television Ads for the last year?

Really?

First, it was about the financing model of the proposed arena. Then it was the amount spent on public art displayed at the arena. Now people have a problem about a local nonprofit securing naming rights. Would you prefer Blue Diamond? VSP? Or some big corporate giant from Shanghai with no connection to Sacramento

Of course, we all know that, and if you are a real basketball fan, or if you are from NorCal, but I have yet to meet a San Franciscan that cared about the Warriors on any real loyal authentic fan level until the last 2 years, including family who live there and are UC Berk alumnus.

The only real authentic fans of the Warriors I've known who have been consistent fans seem to be from Oakland/San Leandro/Hayward.

Vivek said they add takers from all across the nation and China; as of now, I am a bit surprised they picked Golden One. But as we find out more, maybe we will see the light.

Golden One and Purple....hmm, a Golden moniker and Purple uniforms and hats, oh my! Puhaleeze, lol!

Prob gonna be tech company from the Bay, I just hope they give it a cool name and not something hokey or "retro Sacramento" like the Giant Tomato or some ****. Something 21st century would be nice and would properly **** off the NIMBYs even more than they already are.
I think you're onto something. "NIMBY Pavilion" has a nice ring to it.

You were one of two, to suggest "Golden" in the name.

We Golden 1 "shareholders" have no idea. I like Golden 1, I really do, but it surprises me sometimes at the lack of transparency shown to the members. The website has no audited annual report. We have no idea how much the CEO or BoD members make, and so forth.

Golden 1 could be a very lean, high value non-profit. Or they could be very top heavy, paying themselves huge salaries and bonuses and still be a non-profit on the bottom line. Without transparency, we don't know.

Good point, maybe thats why I'm not a member. Instead, I'm a member of several other credit unions. No credit to me, I simply didn't like there customer service and their interest rates last time I checked were not as competitive as you would think considering they are a credit union.

Hopefully, it is a win-win for all involved.
