AUGUST 1 -29, 2019 SACRAMENTO - 29 days

High Temps, How many days of:
100's - Heat Index - 2 days (Actual - 5 days)
90's - Actual - 14 days (Heat Index 15 days)
80's - Actual - 10 days (Heat Index 12 days)

Low Temps, How many days of:
90's - Zero days
80's - Zero days
70's - Zero days
60's - 24 days
50's - 5 days

August is the hottest month of the year, still yet Sacramento always COOLED into the low 60's and 50's everyday even on mini-heat wave days. Very few larger cities across the nation Cool as much as Sacramento does, just a handful do:SF Bay Area, Seattle, Portland, Denver, Sacramento.

Phoenix - Every single day, Phoenix was 100 degrees or more, every singe day, ALL 29 days!! And for 15 days it never cooled below 85F even at night and in the early morning. For 20 days, Phoenix was at least 105 with 9 days 110 degrees or more.

It has been hot and humid the past month and September looks to be the same in the evenings and no, it was above 70 degrees on many days even at 11pm.

It is rarely, "humid" and uncomfortable at the same time in Sacramento. When Sacramento has "high humidity", above 55% it is usually below 68F. Sacramento is almost always in the Comfortable range concerning dew point which is a much better indicator of how "humid" and comfortable or uncomfortable it is.

For example, the dew point in Sacramento is 55F right now, Very comfortable.

Also true! Even last night, Concord was still 75f at 11:30 PM. But the morning lows get considerably cooler, especially now as we have shorter days. That nice cool down happens quickly in the last three or four hours the night, but the evenings are very warm. In some ways, that's the best of both worlds. Balmy evenings without humidity, then a brief respite before the day heats up. Plus, sunshine all day, every day. It could be a lot worse.

We had a few cooler evenings but a lot more hot humid nights in Sacramento with temps above 70 degrees making it unpleasant with cranking the AC all night.

Sacramento is almost NEVER HUMID and Hot at the same time. Never, never, never happens in the evening, at night, in the morning, or during the day, Never, Never.....well almost never if you count maybe one or two days a year it might be remotely "humid" and hot at the same time in which the dew point is barely above the "comfortable" range.

I've been in the South Pacific for the last week, and here it is Hot AND HUMID, extremely oppressively Humid and Hot, the kind of Humid AND Hot Sacramento has never, never, ever experienced.
