Say, the heat index in Orlando only got up to 82F today. In the past three days, the max heat index there was 88 F, and even then there was a good breeze at 16 mph, gusts up to 23 mph.

Meanwhile the heat index now at SMF is 91 already, and it's only going to get hotter today. Max heat index these past three days was 96F, and the breeze at the time was only 5 mph. An hour later, there was no breeze.

And I said heat index. Humidity already factored in. Wind speeds not even factored in yet... And with wind speeds at Orlando having been at 16 mph during their max heat index vs. 5 mph for Sacramento during Sacramento's max heat index, the difference for Orlando is even more dramatic.

Goes to show that you have days in Orlando that are nicer than a day in Sacramento.

Welps, I would not mind the heat here if I had a pool or access to one. One thing is certain. If I ever bought a home here, it would have to have an in ground pool!

I will ay the really hot weather is excellent for water skiing. When there is no wind the water is like glass.

Delta Breeze Cold Pacific Wind to the rescue! We really felt it come on strong around 7:45pm, just as we were going for a short walk.

Even during these hotter days, Sacramento's mornings have been great, tons of people out running and walking. We always get a good 6-8 hours in (6-12pm or 6-2pm) of comfortable temps in the 60's and 70"s even if the high runs up to high 90's or low 100's.

Looks like another 5 days where the high will be in the 80's (very comfortable dew points and humidity)

Midnight June 5, 2020:

Sacramento 69F

Fresno 78F
Phoenix 94F

Agree the delta breeze brought good relief last night! Before it was very humid and sticky at night.

It’s about that time of the year where we get the daily posts of how nice the weather is from 8pm-8am (give or take), it’s not as hot as Phoenix or Fresno, and the heat index makes a 102 day 98.

We don't need to do that because its been in the 50's and 70's- all 24 hrs for the last two days.

Also, You conveniently forgot that its perfect from 6am 2am, almost always throughout the summer in Sacramento.

Noon, June 6, 2020

Portland Feels like 57F - Rain

San Diego 68F - Mostly Cloudy

Sacramento 74F - Full Sun

Phoenix 86F - that's cool for Phoenix
