Fascinating conditions this morning at 7 AM:

Sacramento 58
San Francisco 68
Oakland 79
Berkeley 77
San Jose 61
Walnut Creek 76
Santa Rosa 58
San Diego 63 (fog)
San Diego (Scripps Ranch) 59 (clear)

So it looks like Diablo winds are whipping across the East Bay and westward over the bay, but they are neither prevalent in the North Bay or South Bay. Yesterday was similar, with 90s in SF, Sausalito, and other coastal locations.

Right now, the prediction for this winter is for the CA drought to remain or intensify based on a La Niña pattern. Only the farthest northern sliver of the state does not have a greater than average probability of drought. Not good for future fire conditions...

What are the actual high temperatures, please? Not just the heat index.

From 5am in the morning til 5pm in the evening Sacramento was in the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's, but instead you focus on the 1/2 hr it was 90F. Some reports show we didn't even make it to 90F.

From 3pm in the afternoon to 5pm in the evening it was in the 80's, oh the horror, it was EXCELLENT WEATHER today. All day and night!

For 22 hours it was no where near 90F.

For most people, 90F with very low humidity is quite pleasant. Especially, if it was 90F for less than an hour.

Man the how the hell has Los Angeles been getting more fall weather than Sacramento? Honestly guys, does this mean I shouldn’t get my hopes up for comfy winter times and lots of snow?

I wasn't sure if Chimérique had move on to greener pastures and retired from this thread after the fires. It feels like order has been restored to the universe.

Now if only we can beat Covid,
