If I can use the unheated Cool Pacific you can use an unheated pool,

Life's a Beach.

Afternoon - 2:30pm

Sacramento - 85F
32% humidity

Santa Barbara - 78F

Don't you love the way Southern Californians describe Sacramento.

"The northern desert above Vegas"

"Where the state Capital is in the Plains"

The days are just too short now, the nights too long, the sun not as strong, and the angle of the sun not as direct, as at the height of summer. When we came back from the Bay Area to SD recently, our pool temp sensor was broken, so our pool solar couldn't run. When it got fixed, the pool temp was mid-70s. A week later with solar, mid-80s. If you don't have pool solar (much much cheaper than electrical solar), and you love a long swim season, I highly, highly recommend it. We extend a three month season into a six month season.

I really need to look into getting solar just for my pool as it would be less expensive in the long run than gas heater for the pool to extend swim season a great deal.

Ya, and I need to get a hybrid water heater....but they cost...like....double than a regular gas water heater. SMUD rebate should help.
