Standing on their own the Sacramento or San Joaquin Valleys would be held up as nice climates. Park them 75 miles from the coast of California and they get hit with being unbearable/horrible/sweltering.
I agree.

Don't know where you getting your weather from but I highly doubt it was 95 at 8:15pm. I made it home from a day trip to SF at that time and there was only about a 15 degree difference from SF and Fresno by my vehicle thermometer. It was between 78-82 (high)in SF when we left and was 88 when we got to Fresno @ 8:20pm.

Coulda used some of that Fresno weather on Saturday night. That breeze was straight-up chilly. It was hoodie weather for us Sac Republic fans, and all we had were t-shirts and team scarves. Never actually seen the crowds use their scarves for heat retention. On the plus side, I do now when that breeze kicks in I won't have to use my AC at all. Even on warm days when the temperature is about 95/60, we leave as much open as possible all night. If we can get it down to 75 inside before we leave for work and shut all the windows, we know we won't need to kick on the AC at all.

Sometimes Stockton's breeze is stronger, more often Sac and south Sac is stronger than Stockton, really.
Fairfield is the King of the Delta/onshore breeze.

Right on, Sacramentans save a lot on A/C costs because of the Delta Breeze!
