Indianapolis hosted a Super Bowl - big whoop-de-freakin'-doo. As for the River Walk - a more embarrassing tourist trap can not be found. No local goes to the River Walk. Tourists go once and then never go back. As for Austin's "incredible live music" - most of it is on Sixth Street which on weekends is ground zero for all the drunken UT college students. Want to see blotto frat boys puking in the streets? Austin's your place. Again, tourists go once and never go back.

PS: Your weather logic doesn't hold - San Antonio and Austin are disgustingly hot and humid during the summer. Sacramento's summers, including the fabulous Delta Breeze (which should be bottled and sold nationwide) are stupendous. Not hot, not cold, not humid.

LOL, you are too funny and cute. The honeymoon should be in Hawaii (fabulous trade winds) or Bora Bora!

Summer ended Sept 21, so how cool or hot did it get compared to other cities in Sept?

SF and the coast receive their warmest days in September versus the earlier summer months due to the Marine layer (fog, clouds and cool winds) backing off and therefore the absence of Sacramento's Delta Breeze.

If it were not for the fact that the days are shorter and the sun does not shine as high or bright in the sky, September marks the time when the Delta Breeze slows down, nor rarely shows up. That’s why the low temperatures are not lower than July or August’s low temperatures, and it’s why the high temps can still reach into the high 90’s, sometimes 100.

Still yet, Sacramento is significantly cooler than our western and southern neighbors.

Let's pray for a consistent steady stream of rainstorms this fall and winter minus any serious flooding. -

.....and a heavy and deep snowpack up in der mountains!

Unfortunately steady rainstorms and flooding kind of go together...might be a useful reminder, though, of where nature still thinks we probably shouldn't build stuff, and the limits of our ability to usefully divert water.

10 day forecast here in late October looks like Santa Barbara type weather. Also impressive looking at Sept the highest low was 64 degrees and most nights dropped to the upper 50's. Sacramento one of the more underrated climates in the country IMHO. I can't think of too many cities outside of CA with a better climate..
