This is true.

You can find a list of some of the "made in the USA" manufacturer's on the Naturwood site. http://www.naturwood.com/made-in-north-america.aspx

They used to carry http://www.showroom.stuartdavid.com/...FUlp7AodVUsAVQ but apparently SD opened their own local store, the warehouse is located in Ceres

I've also bought furniture from Brownwood Furniture from Southern Ca, now closed. You can still find some of their pieces around.
The good stuff made in the US is pricey but it lasts forever. I also wished they had some slightly better furniture stores in Sacramento. (I'm talking more contemporary stuff). Lots of furniture in Sac stores is that dated overly ornate stuff. A few good places downtown and in roseville. I wish they had a roomandboard in Sac. I always have to drive to the bay area if I want to check out places like that.

^^^ I agree, a lot of the availalble furniture styles are massive. I guess best to fill up space in a McMansion.

Ikea has a few leather sofas and chairs at a reasonable price. Surprisingly comfortable and real leather (vs bonded stuff)

Bedroom Discounters in Rancho...shopped on google...found a bedroom set for my son and noted the mfg and style...went to bedroom discounters....ordered from catalog at an incredible price

Costco has some good prices on good quality furniture... its seasonal though and the stuff online just seems higher priced than the seasonal furniture items you find in the stores.

Macys has some good deals on furniture...seems there's always some sale happening...end of summer, pre end of summer, mid summer sale, etc
