Hello, I will be flying out of SMF for a trip this Labor Day weekend and was wondering if anyone had any experience with the SMF parking lots during holiday weekends. The SMF Parking site states that they have $10 & $12 per day lots, but that they are on a first come first serve basis, and that they will be more full during holiday weekends. My trip is still a ways off, but I was wondering if I should park at the airport hoping that there are spots available, or do the safer (but more expensive) thing and book a cab. I fly out the morning of 8/31.

Thank you!

There is long term parking that is $9 a day and the lot is huge. I always fly during the week so can't help with the weekend parking. Hope someone else can help with that.

When are you flying? Obviously people arriving for earlier flights will have it easier. I've never seen the remote lot full, but I avoid traveling on the holidays.

I always do the long term parking as well. There are several overflow lots, and they will let you know if the lots are full (with a big sign) & redirect you to the lot with spaces. I've never seen the long term lots full.

I've never had an issue with parking. There are tons of spaces.

Being from the foothills, I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and parked there. It worked well, I had a 7 am flight and didn't want to get up at 2 am.
