Nah, it's pretty easy. It's a little hilly when you're out in the country, but speeds are slower so it won't be a problem. Have fun. It does get crowded on nice weekends peak season, so plan to take your time and don't get frustrated if there's a bit of traffic or a full parking lot or two. Not sure if you're going with kids, but regardless, I'd recommend a stop by a local winery or two, which generally have outdoor seating that allows kids. Jack Russell Brewing and Winery is another option. (Even though they annoy me because it's a dog themed brewery that not only doesn't allow dogs anywhere on the property, but doesn't even offer a hint of shade for the dogs to kick it in the parking lot. But I digress.)

The biggest hill you will encounter is heading up Hwy 50 through Folsom (E Bidwell to EDH) and then up the long, steep grade into Cameron Park (EDH Blvd to Cambridge). I see Honda Fits doing that drive all the time. Not a problem! although, you probably won't be able to keep up with the V6 & V8, but you'll get there just fine.

My old 4 cylinder Sentra makes the climb on the multiple grades frequently. No worries.
