I currently live in South Sacramento. I am thinking about pursuing a job in the Natomas area near Garden Hwy and Truxel. Can anyone tell me how long of a commute I might be looking at if I am travelling between 7:00am and 7:30am? Google maps says 17 mins without traffic but I know 99 North is crazy in the morning.

It's not bad that early, 17-20 minutes.

just make sure you are at your destination by 730. Even better would be getting there between 630-7, and you will definitely beat the traffic

How far down in South Sac? What's the largest cross street?
Both 5 & 99 are going to be a parking lot heading towards downtown during commute hours & that's why you need to be at your destination before commuter hours. But I do agree, 5 would be the most direct route. You can also go through the city as an alternative route, but only if you live really close to downtown otherwise, it'd be a waste of time.
