It's hard to find a house on top of a hill overlooking Folsom lake with views of the Sierra closer to downtown. I would imagine the location might have reduced the amount of fans trying to get a glimpse of celebrity. Just my guess anyway.

I definitely understand the location relative to Sac--it's a beautiful spot. Just didn't know why it was Sac area and not closer to SoCal. A lot of stars choose comparatively low key Montecito for their mansions, which is a pretty reasonable drive from LA, but but maybe the choice of housing wasn't what he was looking for.

He was probably at that point in his career where he did not need to be in LA all the time to continue to get movies.

A lot of actors don't live in LA once they get to a certain point in their careers. If you're not going to party every night, there's no reason to live there full time. And you can get a lot more house up here for less $$$.

You might live in Granite Bay if...you look down on a particular subdivision because, it has perimeter fencing, but, well, it's just not very high.
You might live in Granite Bay if you live in a gated community and want low gates so you can easily get out, though not heading towards Roseville.

Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Nicole grew up in Greenhaven/the Pocket. That's why he had a house close to Sacramento.

You're way out there, come down to earth. I have not enough posts for you to assume the worst, not yet. Relax

Ok so I do not live in Granite Bay or Roseville. And those who do live in this area know what I'm saying. -OR-Anyone who drives AUBURN Folsom Road can see the low iron gate from the road. It doesn't do much good. Los Lagos entrance is secure but the outer perimeters are not.

Just saying. It seemed odd for a Hollywood Celeb to be comfortable with that low level of security.

It has nothing to do with looking down or up on them. I don't know anyone inside there anymore but we did know the neighbor of his, who referred us the job. He also partied with the guy many times. And after speaking with their security guard, we decided together it would be a bad idea to do work on his home. So my husband called and cancelled

For myself, in my lifetime, I'd never be able to afford a home inside Los Lagos

I am not sure what this means. Again, the iron gate is not that tall.
In fact, it is the exact gate you see surrounding a swimming pool inside a sub division. The gate itself cannot keep people out such as the Paparazzi. It only makes it more difficult as now they'd need to gain entrance by foot.

Pretty house but way too big for me and I would be very comfortable with all the purple.
