Very sad for our neighbors to the east. This fire has been getting worse despite the best efforts of our amazing group of firefighters.

I work in El Dorado Hills and the smoke plume you see just up the hill is spectacular but frightening considering all the lives that are affected.

Several people pulled off Grant line this afternoon to get some good pics of the smoke plume. Interesting sight indeed.

When I arrived at work this morning, the smoke smell was really strong. I kept watching the white/dark gray billowing plumes just beyond the ridge line. So sad the fire has spread so fast.

I hope he rots in prison. 70,000 acres and growing. It's very fortunate that most of that is not residential so very few structures have been impacted...yet. But the loss to the forest is incredibly sad. I have friends up there fighting this fire and I worry about them constantly.

I feel so sad for the numerous trees and animals that burnt and died due to the actions of one person. Some people are really evil. We all pray for rain that we miss so much.

I was thinking the same exact thing regarding the trees and animals. Praying for steady moderate rain.

If convicted perhaps the punishment should fit the crime. He likes fire. Let him go out happy - burned at the stake!
