Hi,

This is my first thread on this site. I need to ask this question because noone I know can answer it for me and I asked the lady on the phone from EDD andshe didn't specifically answer it for me.

I live in Sacramento, CA. I submitted a claim form on Saturday August 30thfor the weeks of 8/17/14-8/31/14. I got paid a UI payment on 9/3/14 assumingthat check was for the weeks of 8/3-8/17 (thinking claims are paid about twoweeks or so after EDD received my claim form).

So assuming the 9/3/14 check was from 8/3-8/17 time period, I'm thinkingthat the form I mailed out on 8/30 would be paid out to me on 9/17 (or 9/18because of the Labor Day holiday). Today is obviously 9/17, so I thought I'dget paid today, I didn't, or tomorrow.

I started my new job on 9/2/14 and I obviously won't be sending in a new claimform, so I've been so sure that this 9/18 payment (from weeks 8/17-8/31) is mylast.

Am I correct? Or did I already receive my last payment? That would meanprocessing times are lightning quick.. mailing out a form on Saturday 8/30 (forweeks 8/17-8/31), they receive it on Tuesday 9/2, and getting paid direct deposit the next day Wednesday 9/3 (Labor Day holiday all banks closed on 9/1)?

I always assumed just like our jobs, there's always a 1-2 week delay inprocessing our hours, verify information, etc. If this is the case, that meansthey get my paperwork, scan it, and hit a button to put money into my accountin just hours.. that's incredible or wrong.

Thanks for the help.

Stop assuming and read what you were sent.

You get paperwork in the mail each time telling you how much you got paid, what time period that payment covers, and how much you have remaining on your claim. Go look at it.
