I can cook many things but turkey isn't one of those that I care to cook. What is the best place to buy a turkey that is already prep and cook in Sacramento?

Been eyeing a few grocery stores but don't know which has the best deal and taste. Any info is helpful. Thanks

Costco & Whole Foods have fantastic rotisserie chicken...If they did the same with turkey, that would be awesome. I've bought rotisserie turkey breasts from Save Mart, and they are delicious.

Have you considered the honey ham store? There's a couple around, on Watt & Sunrise.

Also Marie Calendar's.

True! I love Costco's rotisserie chicken. I really am thinking about Save Mart because my wife and I like their fried chicken. We figure if we like their chicken, chances are we'll like their Turkey too. Plus, their Thanksgiving package is price well.

Bel Air does a wonderful turkey dinner. My mom used to get it every year and pretend she cooked it herself.

I am trying to convince my husband to get a cooked turkey from Raley's this year. We enjoy making the various sides but I don't think anybody loves to cook a turkey.

Cooking a turkey is easy - just like cooking a big chicken. They key is to buy a fresh turkey instead of a frozen one. Also don't bother stuffing it. It cooks better without stuffing.

Anyone can cook a turkey, or if you are only cooking for two or three, just get a turkey breast and roast it. Gravy making is easy too, just leave the drippings and at least 2 or 3 tablespoons of grease in the roasting pan, over low heat stir in about the same amount of flour as you have grease. Stir over heat until it thickens then add vegetable or chicken broth (or water if that's all you have) until it's somewhat thinned, heat until it thickens add salt and pepper and you have the best gravy in the world. If you add too much broth and it is too runny, stir a tablespoon of corn starch into some water and mix it in to the gravy while the heat is on. If making stuffing seems too hard, "Stove Top Stuffing Mix" isn't bad and is usually enough for 2 people.
