I went and walked around the site early this morning. (Sunday 7am) Hardly anyone was out, no traffic at all, only the construction workers busy working. It was a pretty cool little time killer.

You go to Laker games at Staples, braaah?
LoL the new arena in Sacramento is smaller than the league average.

Do you even follow the NBA?

A lot of people in Sacramento have this kind of "yeehaw, let's build" mentality. Even when they do not have the money or it does not make sense.

I am talking about the size of the arena, not it's capacity. There's this crazy thing called engineering which....eh, you wouldn't understand. Quit hijacking the thread with your stupidity.

I am not sold on the architecture of the new arena, but I am glad they're building it. Downtown Sac needs revitalization in the worst way. I'm also really interested in the 14 story tower they're building as part of the project.

In my opinion, the anti-stadium crowd never really grasped the reality that Sacramento is a dull city that is desirable far more for its proximity to other areas than for anything in the city itself. Besides, they're funding it through parking revenue that wouldn't exist, but for the presence of the new stadium. It's a reasonable funding approach.

NBA commissioner doesn't look too happy. Maybe he has a tummy ache.
