something Ive been noticing is they use the smallest , skinniest ducks these days for roast duck from Chinese hot deli's?

the prices are usually around $15 - $16.50 each

but I rarely buy one because they are always too small with very little meat on the bone

they used to be bigger and juicier than the ones they sell now.

I think you have to go at least 80 miles southwest to Oakland (or drive the extra 12 miles to SF)...

yes, I know they make better roast ducks in SF / Oakland chinatown

Yee's in SF chinatown makes a decent roast duck, a little meatier, plumper, juicier than the ones in Sac

No clue. We buy at 99 Ranch on ocassion, but I can't tell you if it's the best or not. Also bigger and juicer can sometimes be deceiving. Many stores/companies will plump their products with salt water which give an illusion of juicer products. Chicken is the most common culprit. Can't say if anyone plumps duck, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
