Most of you know, I am actually moving out of the area. Since I have gotten really good info on the board where I am moving to, I wanted to help out in anyway I could over here to answer questions.

One of the things I wanted to know about where we are moving to are what are the fun things to do in the area that we have made traditions.

Halloween/Fall/Christmas:

Apple Hill - Apple Hill is an area that has more than 50 farms prodominately apple or fruit orchards. Some have Christmas Tree farms where you can pick out your own tree and cut it down yourself. There are a few wineries out there as well. They do have a website so you can check it out.

Grass Valley/Nevada City - Great holiday shopping, quaint old victorian type shops. During the evenings, they have carolers in period costumes.

Dove Court & Stanford Ranch - These are two of the most famous areas that have home owners go "Christmas Vacation" with themed houses with cut outs and lights that go on for miles.

Downtown Sacramento - Lights, Capitol Tree and outdoor ice skating rink. For the last few years we have been going to the IMAX to see The Polar Express in 3D...very cool!!

Anyway, these are some of the things we like to do.
