I filled out the online application a few days ago, the next day I was in the area and decided to go in and ask one of the employee's about the job position I applied for. I asked him how i can get an interview and he said to write down my name and number on a piece of paper and that he would give it to the manager and expect a call from him in a couple days...

What should I do if I don't get a call back? I would have to call them back... but what would I say?

I also heard during the interview at Toys R US that they give you some kind of lego test and you have to make something and try to sell it. I don't know how well I would perform in that without practice.

Is this the right forum? Not seeing what this has to do with Sacramento.

Not sure about your previous experience but in my experience I've always been very aggressive in pursuing jobs. Most recruiters are not going to remember you and you will be little more than a random application unless you differentiate yourself. I would be aggressive in calling them, not waiting for them to call you. Let them know that you really want that job and are excited for the opportunity to work for the company, and all that other bull**** they want to hear that let's them know who you are and that you're not just another application.

I would speak with the manager directly. Go back and ask to speak to him. Don't rely on an employee to inform him. As for the Lego test; good fn god what is it with these $10 an hr jobs making people jump through hoops? I would do nothing at all to prepare for that. Just be confident in how you speak with the interviewer. That's prob all they want to see.
