I have a 2200 square foot home with a pool that saves me a lot on A/C costs in the summer. I rarely use my A/C except for maybe a few hours after 8pm to cool off the bedrooms before crashing for the night. I get in my pool after work around 5-6pm for hour or so and don't feel any heat even when over 100F afterwards for hours. I do eat ton of water melon and drink lot of water. Usually under $200 month in summer for A/C. I actually spent more in the summer for A/C bill since it was a heatbox upper level apartment that the sun hit all windows constantly.

I been saying this for years about Sacramento, we should never underestimate how good we have it. That's why I give equal weight to the Low Temp for the day as much as the High Temp.
