One time I stopped at a gas station in North Highlands, and a big, scary looking gangster type asked me for a ride. I refused, and he punched me in the face as hard as he could. I presume he must have forgotten his glock at home that day. I had a bloody black eye for about a month. I avoid North Highlands at all costs now.

One of the positive thing about this foreclosure crisis is you no longer have to live in places like north highlands.

Maybe he wanted a piggy back ride.

I am thinking of moving to NH. I will be renting but I am not crazy about apartment complexes. Does anyone know of any private owened apartments that would be suitable for a single female?

There are places nearby that are much safer than NH. Look closer to Carmichael off Watt Av. south of Auburn Blvd. Many of the residents are Russian-speaking but they mostly wont bother you.

I grew up on A Street back in the 70's. Went to Aerohaven grade school, the middle school on Stephen Drive (cant remember the name) and then graduated from Foothill High. It was a much nicer and safer place. My brother and I used to walk to the Rexall Pharmacy down the street to buy candy. My grandmother lived off Karl Drive and and my aunt lived off David Drive for awhile. I have some great memories of growing up their. I didnt know it had turned into such a bad neighborhood. We sold our house in '85 and moved to San Diego. IMO, heaven on earth.
