haha yeah thats in the works too. The new move will put me no more than 5 miles from my work meaning I could bike to work. So even if I did get a gas guzzling truck I still wouldn't have to fill it up more than three to four times a month. Home depot is right around the corner too

The first things we bought were a ladder, a shop vac and make sure you have tools. A good basic toolbox, good hammers, a set of screwdrivers, a drill, level, pliers, wrenches. Plumber tape. Various nails, screws.

Then paint.

Shop craigslist.

I thought more about this and realized that I still have the sofa from my last apt, didn't get one for the living room for four years AND I used my parents' bedroom set until we bought our third house and then bought a new set. Finally, I felt like an adult.

Get shelves for the garage right away.

Congrats Pancit! I am so happy you found your home! I say the first thing you should buy is groceries - you'll be very hungry doing all that work! Hee, hee, hee ....

Thanks Cali. It's not in the bag yet so I'll just cross my fingers and hope again. It's a full price offer this time so we have a better chance.

I was thinking about groceries being the first thing to buy, but you know what, I think I need a fridge before that .

Don't forget your canton noodles, veggies, patis, soy sauce, shrimp, and chinese sausage for your Pancit.

The first thing to buy after getting a house is new door locks.
You don't know how many stray keys are floating around out there.

Excellent suggestion!!!!!!!!!!!! I also agree with window coverings so the place looks lived in
