Doesn't Granite Bay have better schooos than others?

I guess it depends on what nuances you care about. Strictly based on the state ratings:

El Dorado Hills has all schools rated at a 10 (but see my note about school boundaries as some areas of EDH south of 50 attend schools in Cameron Park/Shingle Springs)
Granite Bay has 9s and 10s.
Folsom has 9s and 10s, with one elementary school rated a 5.
Rocklin has 8-10s.
Roseville is mostly 7-10, with a couple low rated elementary schools.

El Dorado Hills also seems to draw a lot of private companies catering to kids with gymnastics classes, swimming, tutoring centers etc.
