Hello,
I'm coming to Sacramento on a business trip and would love some recommendations on mid-range restaurants. All cuisines welcome. We are staying in Rancho Cordova but I plan to hop the Gold bus into town for more interesting food choices and hope to talk some co-workers into this plan as well. Thanks!

There are some notable restaurants in Rancho Cordova for your consideration. On Olson Drive, Mints Euro Asian Cuisine is a great place. Another Pan-Asian option is the Koreana Plaza (KP International) food court located along Olson Drive between Zinfandel and Folsom.

The Capital Village area south of US-50 also offers several nice dining options. There's Petali for Italian; Sala Thai, and Priya Indian Cuisine. However, if you're intent on taking the light rail into Sacramento, there would be numerous options of course. The R Street Corridor near the 16th Street light rail station features a number of newer restaurants. The Broadway corridor features all manner of cuisines, take your pick. The Tower Cafe has an eclectic menu, Iron Grill has excellent steaks; Queen Sheba for Ethiopian; and Selland's Market Cafe.

Here's a link to a directory of restaurants in Midtown/Central Sacramento:

It’s currently Dine Dowtown which is basically like restaurant week where each location offers a three course meal for $35. Here is a list of participating restaurants with their menus:

Hawks on Alhambra Blvd - very good, full bar
Taylor's on Freeport Blvd (Land Park neighborhood)
Tower Cafe - always a favorite on Broadway and 15/16th streets
Czech-Italian restaurant - excellent on J Street and 36th

Pasesano's - on Capitol and 18th Streets
Bento Box - Japanese, several through Sac, 16th Street and K
Mikuni's - Japanese - 16th and K, several throughout Sac

These are all on Folsom Blvd in East Sacramento (just off the top of my head)
All very good, all "locals" hang-outs. Google them for menu's, reviews, types of food and atmosphere.

Great list! We've been to many of them.
I'll also add that while Pushkin's has a vegan menu, it's not all vegan and I think of it even more for their gluten free menu -- this place is 100% gluten free.

Yes, great list! I've eaten at some of them and followed many others. Sacramento has a nice restaurant scene.

The Czech-Italian Restaurant you listed is called La Trattoria Bohemia, which I also highly recommend.
