Does anyone know if Amtrak provides any discount passes from Sac to Oakland? Or other than Amtrak, are there any other reliable/affordable methods to travel down there? I have to travel to Oakland once a week (during the morning commute) and I'm getting burnt out on driving my car down there. Thanks!

My coworker is part of a van pool from Sac to SF. I think she found it on 511.org but I'm not sure. You could sign up with a van pool for once a week and go that route. I think the Capitol Corridor is the best bet since it's not subject to road traffic, but a van is definitely better than driving.

Good luck!
