So I am not doing the family dinner option this year for the holidays and looking to dine out. What non holiday options are open for the holidays? I like Asian food like Thai, Korean BBQ, and Indian.

Asian places are usually open, but also check the hotels. There's a breakfast place in San Jose that does a Thanksgiving brunch. The Marriott in Santa Clara also is open for food here and Chinese restaurants.

Last year was pretty bleak and hard to find an open restaurant, but we found the breakfast place for brunch, then we went to a movie, then we hit the Marriott for a late dinner and dessert that they had in the bar area.

I know you're in Sacramento and not San Jose, but you could check similar options.

Check out your favorite restaurants or look at some you have not tried in your neighborhood. I have seen many signs around advertizing "Have your holiday here".

Check out one of the casinos in the area. They usually put out a nice buffet feast for Thanksgiving. I ate at that one up the road a ways from Sac. I think it was in Lincoln??? It was outstanding. I hear the one in Jackson is nice too.

I feel like Korean BBQ so hopefully Oz is open in Elk Grove on turkey day. Folks at work rave about how good it is. That and a movie would be a fun turkey day for me.
