I'm wondering if I am allowed to book a hotel in the Sacramento (also the SF Bay Area) area at this point for June 8th onward? Are there certain restrictions in place? Thanks for any info. I did try to book a Marriott in Walnut Creek for June 8-11th and wasn't allowed to until the 14th....

The only thing I read regarding hotels and motels is that locally some of them have rented out rooms to the state for the homeless, but I imagine that is going to be more budget rooms in the Motel6 type of motels. I also think that there is some type of emergency ordinance to keep people from visiting Tahoe/Truckee hotels, but I don't know if that order has lapsed.

Yes you can rent a room in Sacramento but probably not in the Bay Area, they are operating under a different set of rules and aren't reopening businesses as soon as other areas in the state. https://www.nbcbayarea.com/news/coro...tions/2290710/
