Sac used to have more years ago, but a lot have closed down with the advent of on-line shopping, cable TV/pay-per-view,etc. Roseville passed an ordinance a few years ago to keep them out.

If it makes you feel any better, "Grind & Groove" went out of business and now it's a kid's art center called "Art Beast." Sacramento's sex shops don't have a pretense of being anything else either, for the most part--but "Grind & Groove" had a clever gimmick, albeit not clever enough to stay in business. Too bad, I liked their holiday cards.

Most states have an "age of majority" that determines when you are legally an adult in that state. Most are 18 or 19. You could also call a store you are interested in visiting and ask about their age requirements.
