No, firearms deaths are still about three times higher per capita in Louisiana than California if you check the stats. (That is what you meant by LA, right?) Or Alabama, Missouri, Mississippi and a few other states.

While the media is staying quiet and the politicians are talking about more gun control, the people that were actually there are saying it was two rival gangs that got into a fight and then a shoot-out.

Two guys that appear to have been innocent bystanders were killed and are being featured on the news. None of the other victims are being mentioned in any way.

My heart breaks for the families that waited for word about a loved one that was there, only to learn they were one of the deceased.
I wonder if some of those clubs are gang-owned.

That is a very good question. I never gave it much thought but it might be. It happened during the 1920s, so why not now?

Sad indeed what smells fishy is how no videos or photos are available of the car license plates of the shooter firing into the crowd downtown nor of the suspects shooting the automatic weapons into the crowd. My theory is the criminals are cartel or gang related or fanatical adherents of the religion of peace. Total media blackout and no info from the Sac PD stinks to high heaven.

In that same article it's mentioned that a City street camera captured some of the incident.

There were apparently multiple shooters in a crowd of people. Police were unable to get descriptions of any of these multiple shooters to assist them in the investigation?

They may have descriptions of potential suspects but they probably won't release much information until they can positively ID them.

One suspect in shooting is in custody

26-year-old arrested in connection with Sacramento mass shooting, police chief says
Police serve three residential search warrants and recover at least one handgun. Dandre Martin was taken into custody and booked on charges of assault with a firearm and being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, Police Chief Kathy Lester told KCRA 3’s Ty Steele in an exclusive interview Monday morning.

"Right now that’s really all we’re able to share about him," she said. "As you know this is a complex investigation and we’re looking for multiple suspects and so we’re currently working to identify what his role was the night of the shooting."
Sacramento Police Department SWAT members and detectives also served search warrants at three residences in the area. At least one handgun was recovered, police said. https://www.kcra.com/article/sacrame...olice/39629724
I removed the link to bookings for a Dandre Martin, he is the wrong age - sorry about that!
