I'd also check the movinscam site: Please Review:: Terms of Service
Scroll down a bit to get to Sacramento companies.

Also good to read the link at the top left "How to Find a Reputable Moving Company."

Good luck & happy packing.

Thanks for that site. I didn't see the company but I got a company who came with references and is licensed and will charge me $75 per hour and that is it. I asked about fuel charges and they don't do that.

Can you recommend anyone?

Can't recommend anyone specifically in the Sacramento area as I live in Napa now. Used Atlas affiliated companies for our last 2 moves and was very happy w/ them. Am now looking at 2 Atlas companies (Metropolitan in Benicia and Canova in Fairfield) plus an independent (Moovers in Benicia) for our move to Davis. All 3 look good and I'm just selecting between them now.

Did the company give you a written, not-to-exceed estimate? Here's another helpful link w/ more info on estimates etc, specifically for California: Hiring A Moving Company

If you go to the "Open Community" forum on the movingscam site, you can post and ask them if they've heard anything about the company you found. Give them as much info as you can about your move and the company, and I'm sure they'll be very helpful.

No. I didn't get a written estimate but I should. I will call them and ask to give me one. I am using a company called pack and go. Thanks for all of the info.
